In this blog post, Dan Shipper discusses what he learnt after meeting Jason Fried, founder of 37signals. While, interesting, what really caught my eye was his conclusion about smart people: they 1) ask what you’re hoping to accomplish before saying anything, 2) they give advice with several caveats and 3) say “I don’t know” frequently. I need to get into the habit of saying “I don’t know” more often.
