MRTStuck

February 2012

MRTStuck is a fun little mobile site that a buddy and myself put together in under 4 hours. In Singapore, our subway system is known as the MRT (Mass Rapid Transit). After getting caught in a terrible train delay one morning, I came up with an idea to tell if the MRT was stuck or not.

The app scans Twitter for public tweets about people getting stuck on the MRT, and presents it in a pleasant yet informational manner on a mobile device. If there are a reasonable number of tweets in a short period of time, it's fair to say the MRT is probably stuck somewhere.

This app is not affiliated to SMRT Corporation Ltd.
